An echocardiogram can describe ejection fraction, chamber size, wall thickness, valve narrowing or leaking, wall motion, pressure estimates, and fluid around the heart. Ask which findings matter, whether they explain symptoms, and whether follow-up imaging, medication changes, or another test is needed.
